This notice reflects the current website, the €99 one-time and €12 monthly Stripe checkouts, the customer portal and the separate live Supporters portal.
Controller and contact
Wesley Lorrez organises the independent FreeWillow community project and is responsible for this website and the processing described here. Privacy questions or rights requests can be sent to freewillow.community@outlook.com.
Website delivery and security logs
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical request data such as your IP address, request headers, requested path, timestamp and security or access-log information needed to deliver and protect the site. This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics profiles or browser storage.
Stripe-hosted checkout
After you choose €99 one-time or €12 monthly support, your browser leaves this website for Stripe-hosted Checkout. Stripe processes payment, contact, subscription and tax details under its own notice. FreeWillow receives payment status and the minimum contributor details needed to administer support, access, accounting, refunds, complaints and legal obligations; it does not collect or receive card details on this website.
Supporters portal, voting and contact
Verified contributors can use the separate live Supporters portal. It stores the contribution email, entitlement and badge, one-time login and session security records, submitted ideas, votes, comments, status history and audit records in private Cloudflare D1 storage. Login codes are sent through the private mail provider, and email addresses are never shown to other supporters. This website has no contact form; monthly support is managed through Stripe’s secure customer portal.
If you email freewillow.community@outlook.com, the message and address are used to answer and administer support, payment, cancellation, withdrawal, refund or complaint requests and are handled through Microsoft Outlook rather than a website form.
Current app: local robot data and media
The current app automatically discovers compatible Willow robots on the local network; you choose when to connect. Robot status, settings, maps and robot camera media are processed on your device, the robot and the local network to provide the feature you request. Robot media remains on the robot or your device unless you choose to save or share it. The current local-first experience has no FreeWillow account database.
Map imagery
Map features use ArcGIS/Esri imagery, not Google Maps. When imagery is requested, ArcGIS/Esri may receive technical request information such as IP address, device or browser details and the map area requested, under its own service terms and privacy notice.
iPhone camera compatibility
The current app never requests or uses the iPhone camera. Its WebRTC framework contains camera-compatible code, but Live displays the Willow robot’s remote camera. Photo Library Add access is requested only when you explicitly save a Sheriff image.
App distribution and testing
Apple processes App Store and TestFlight account, device, installation and diagnostic information under Apple’s own privacy terms. Google processes Google Play and internal-testing account, device, installation and diagnostic information under Google’s own privacy terms. FreeWillow receives only the information those platforms make available to developers for distribution and testing.
Retention and your control
You control locally stored app information through your device and can remove the app to remove its local app data; data held by the robot is controlled on the robot. Payment, subscription, supporter entitlement, recognition, idea, vote, comment, status and audit records are kept while needed to perform and administer support and for applicable accounting, legal, security, refund or dispute obligations. One-time codes expire after ten minutes and sessions expire under the portal security policy. Cloudflare, Stripe, Microsoft, Apple and Google retain information under their respective terms.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you may withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Send a request to freewillow.community@outlook.com. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Independent community project
FreeWillow is an independent community project. It is not operated by EEVE BV, the curator or the bankruptcy estate. The app uses the available robot API.
